Commercial Rooftop Unit Repair for Edmonds Ferry-Bowl Downtown Roofs

Stair keys and alley setbacks before the roof walk

The path is the first check. We confirm the stair or alley door, the setback to the neighboring wall, and which room the cabinet feeds—dining, a gallery, or a small office—before a panel opens. Readings follow that walk.

What the stair door shows before the cabinet opens

  • Room that drops once the ferry crowd is seated
  • Condenser discharge aimed at a neighboring wall
  • Damper that chatters when Sound air stacks in the bowl
  • Stage that drops one circuit on a small office
  • Belt slip that shows up as a weak supply at the host stand

How a landing changes the visit

If the host is seating a ferry crowd, we stay off the roof until the door pattern is clear, then read supply air at the room that just filled. The note names the cabinet, the stair we used, and whether the circuit stays closed. We do not quote a swap from the alley.

Great company and great owner! The owner of this business responded to our request very fast at night time when our commercial walk-in refrigerator broke down. He and his team helped fix our walk-in refrigerator the next day. Now it has been many months since we got the walk-in refrigerator fixed by this company, the refrigerator still works great!

My walk-in cooler broke down on us Friday night. I called Dr. Naz, and he showed up a couple of hours later and figured out the problem. He said he'd contact me with estimate first thing in the morning on Monday, and he actually did. He offered to replace our evaporator by Wednesday, and yep, he did it. He really knows his stuff and keeps his word. You can totally rely on him for your service needs. His price was fair, no hidden fees, and it even came with his own 1-year warranty. Highly recommend him; he's my go-to cooler guy now.

Nazar did an excellent job repairing the refrigerator at my restaurant in Seattle. He was very responsive and was able to schedule a same-day diagnostic, which was a huge help. The repair was handled quickly and professionally. I highly recommend A/C Dr. Naz to anyone who needs reliable commercial appliance repair.

Neighborhoods we walk inside the ferry bowl

Tell dispatch the stair or alley, the room that lost air, and whether a ferry arrival is already at the door. That sets the visit. Commercial rooftop unit repair in Edmonds is this bowl work, not a highway-strip ticket and not a marina call.

Roofs we actually walk in the bowl

  • Ferry landing: Dining and galleries on a short walk from a stair, not a dock ladder.
  • Downtown strip: Small offices stacked over shops, one cabinet over the mixed floor.
  • Alley roofs: Mixed retail behind the waterfront row, access from the alley door.
  • Bluff edge of the bowl: Compact roofs with a stair landing, Sound air against a close wall.

Not sure the stair is open? Call (425) 535-8990 with the address and which door we should use.

Other commercial RTU service areas

Browse the Greater Seattle commercial rooftop unit repair hub for the regional overview. Nearby written pages: Seattle, Everett, and Marysville.

Notes we leave at the stair door

Use the no-cool and damper notes already linked above if the room fades after a landing.

Cooling-only, heat-pump heat, and full-building work are linked in the next section.

For indoor environmental quality context, see the EPA indoor air quality overview and OSHA indoor environmental quality guidance.

Split systems and kitchen boxes that leave this page

This page stays on the packaged cabinet over the bowl. Cooling-only splits go to commercial AC repair. Heat-pump heating faults go to commercial heat pump repair. Full building work lives on commercial HVAC repair.

Host notes before the next landing

How do we reach the cabinet when the only path is a stair or alley?

Have the stair or alley key, the cabinet number, and which room just went warm. We walk that path before we open a panel. Do not send us to a dock door—these roofs do not have one.

Why does a ferry unload make a quiet room more urgent?

The landing fills the dining room and the small office at once. A cabinet that was fine on a quiet morning can miss that hour. We time the visit around that window, not a plant shift.

What does a tight setback do that a marina call does not?

Sound air sits against a close wall, so the condenser fan fights its own discharge. That is a setback problem, not a soaked marina damper and not a rain-stuck economizer. We check the wall clearance before we talk about a new fan.

When do we leave the circuit closed on a bowl roof?

If the nameplate, belt, and discharge path explain the room, we leave the refrigerant circuit closed and write that down. Recovery waits for a measured leak or a confirmed charge fault. Call contact with the landing photo if you already have it.

What should the host text from the alley door?

Text the alley or stair door, a photo of the nameplate from the landing, and whether the next ferry is already in. Wider answers also sit on the main FAQ page.

Need a tech at the stair door?

Earliest arrival still depends on the drive from our Marysville shop, the queue, and whether that door is actually open—confirm when you call dispatch.
